Trustees Visit Fergus Falls

Building healthy communities through partnerships is the vision of Bremer Banks and the Otto Bremer Foundation. One of the ways the Otto Bremer Foundation does that is through responding to community-defined values and opportunites. An example of that is when the Otto Bremer Foundation Trustees visit Bremer communities to meet the people and learn about communities assets, needs, values, goals and priorities. (Trustee Dan Reardon to the left on the Hospice House Tour)

Recently the trustees made a visit to Fergus Falls and met with a group of over 20 community members representing various sectors of the community to hear about Fergus Falls and the surrounding area, they were given a tour of the community by the Fergus Falls Market Manager, Doug Houska and had an opportunity to see a hospice house currently under construction. A project that the Otto Bremer Foundation contributed to.

It is the desire of the trustees to visit Bremer communities so they can see and hear for themselves what makes each community unique and how they can respond to needs in their grantmaking. (Trustee Bill Lipschultz visiting with a representative of the West Central Initiative.)
