Board Training

Have you ever served on a board and felt that you didn't quite understand what you were doing or expected to do? I know in my early years I felt this way. I think it is pretty common for new board members to feel unclear with their roles and responsibilites as a member of the board. As nonprofits are having to become more and more accountable, they are becoming more strategic and sophisticated in their operating. With this they are realizing the importance of board training.

Next week I will have the honor of working with a local nonprofit and their board of directors by teaching them BoardSource Roles and Responsibilities. This is an important first step for any nonprofit to completely understand what is expected of them as a board member. If your organization its interested in board training, please contact your local Nonprofit Resource Specialist at Bremer.
