The Friends of the Polk County Libraries (Balsalm Lake, WI) has been a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization for the past three years. They have been FUNdraising with Creative Crafts.
Creative Crafts are items recycled from felted wool sweaters; primarily they have made mittens and purses. These have been sold with such success that they are expanding their line of Creative Crafts to include coasters, mitten bookmarks, fingerless gloves and Christmas stockings. They have sold these creations at the Polk County Fair, Polk County Homemakers Christmas Fair and the Polk County Library Federation.
This fall, they will be expanding their FUNdraising to include the St. Croix Falls Harvest Festival, and the Amery Senior Center Fall Bazaar.
