In my recent workshop, Meetings Really Matter, participants discussed the importance of having an objective for each meeting. Here is a guide to determining your objective: It should be
S specific
M measureable
A attainable
R realistic
T time-dated
When the objective of the meeting has been attained, CLOSE the meeting. Attendees who want to chat can dawdle, and those with more urgency will respect your discipline.
