Today, I Will

The Willmar Area Community Foundation, United Way of West Central Minnesota, and the Community Marketing Coalition sponsor a program of the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation titled, "Speak your Peace" - The Civility Project. The effort is a community-based campaign to urge citizens to communicate in respectful ways. "Speak Your Peace" outlines nine tools of civility that seem to me make sense for everyone; today and always.

Today, I will:

1. Pay Attention.
2. Listen.
3. Be Inclusive.
4. Not Gossip.
5. Show Respect.
6. Be Agreeable.
7. Apologize.
8. Give Constructive Criticism.
9. Take Responsibility.
