A Great Reason to Volunteer

Volunteering linked to good health in recent poll.

More than four out of five Americans believe that volunteering improves physical health, according to a new poll. The survey, commissioned by UnitedHealthcare, a Minneapolis company, and VolunteerMatch, a national nonprofit group that connects people with service opportunities, found that volunteers feel better about their jobs and life and are less likely to suffer from obesity than nonvolunteers. -- from The Chronicle of Philanthropy.
