Celebrating 15 Years of Interfaith Care

Karen Krupa, Interfaith Caregivers Executive Director
With 140 caring volunteers serving 374 seniors and adults with disabilities, Interfaith Caregivers is successfully moving forward and is celebrating 15 years of service to Polk County. As of the end of September 2010, our volunteers have donated 5,793 hours and 67,369 miles to help those in need with rides, visits, chores and more. This includes 13,019 miles for cancer transportation. We do this with the help of a generous grant from The Otto Bremer Foundation. This year, the Otto Bremer Foundation awarded Interfaith Caregivers a grant of $10,000. This grant goes toward operating expenses, which include our AmeriCorps Member.
