All nonprofit organizations in west central Minnesota are invited to apply for the Board Leadership Academy – a customized training program designed to help nonprofit board and staff members work together to strengthen their organizations' performance and success.

Up to 10 nonprofits will be chosen for the program, which involves three fall sessions. Participants will learn how to develop board and executive staff leadership, receive one-to-one coaching, and enjoy learning opportunities through networking and peer interaction. Featured topics will include board development, marketing, fundraising, strategic planning and evaluation.

Bremer Bank's Nonprofit Resource Specialist Holly Witt says, "Since the Board Leadership Academy began, 34 organizations have participated in this program and have reported that they have seen an increase in board and organizational effectiveness.”

West Central Initiative, Tastefully Simple, Bremer Bank and HBH Consultants are proud to sponsor this special program.

To be selected, a nonprofit organization's executive director and at least two board members must commit to participating in the Board Leadership Academy. If you are interested in applying or learning more about this program, please contact LaTresse Snead at latresse.snead@tastefullysimple.com or 320.763.1063 for an application. All applications are due Friday, Sept. 9, 2011.
