Connections are Powerful

I am a big believer in celebrating the efforts and energies of nonprofit organizations. Bremer recently held a community celebration in New Richmond, Wis., of collaborative work in the St. Croix County area. Several businesses and nonprofit organizations we well as Bremer and Otto Bremer Foundation employees were in attendance.

I feel it is always positive to get people together. Ideas flow, contacts are made and relationships are reenergized.

One of the major lessons learned from this type of event is that we need to network and continue to create connections. This is a great way to avoid duplication of services and an even better way to increase awareness and involvement of community activities. Being in the know is powerful!

Nonprofits operate from a heart standpoint, giving of themselves and their programs. It is exciting for us to celebrate them and their work. We don’t do this enough.
