Blogging PR for Nonprofits

I’m new to blogging so I have been scouting around for an understanding of personal blogging, versus corporate blogging. Corporate communications and blog etiquette seems to be at odds.

At the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Web site, an announcement was made of the formation of a new organization,The Blog Council. Its mission is “to address the unique needs of blogging in a corporate environment.” It proposes to be a forum for executives to, among other things, develop best practices. Many large corporations are already members.

I also found a site that lists, at no cost, the most powerful media, including the 25 best English-speaking blogs. Check out www.burrellsluce.com/top100. Newspapers and magazines are also listed, should you want to add them to your press release lists.
