The November 2008 grant review cycle recently completed and the following are grants that were recently authorized in the St. Paul area Bremer communities.
Minnesota General Crime Victim (Roseville, MN) = $5,000 to expand the Agents of Change program for this organization which advocates for victims of crime.
1000 Friends of Minnesota, Inc. (St. Paul, MN) = $61,000 for Envision Minnesota, a statewide outreach program which works to engage citizens and policymakers in planning a healthy economy for Minnesota.
AgriWellness, Inc. (Harlan, IA) = $120,000 to support a behavioral health program for farmers in Minnesota and North Dakota.
Cherokee Park United Church (St. Paul, MN) = $25,000 for the Antiracism Study-Dialogue Circles.
Friends of the Workforce Investment Board (North St. Paul, MN) = $30,000 to support Building Lives program for this organization that works with youth offenders.
Hopkins Area Family Resource Center Community Connections (Hopkins, MN) = $16,500 to develop and implement a marketing plan and upgrade technology for this organization which serves families.
Juel Fairbanks Chemical Dependency Services (St. Paul, MN) = $75,000) for general operations of this organization which provides chemical dependency services.
Minnesota Coalition for Battered Women, Inc. (St. Paul, MN) = $100,000 for general operations of this organization which serves battered women.
Two Rivers Community Land Trust (Stillwater, MN) = $40,000 for general operatin and capital support for this organization which provides affordable housing.
White Bear Lake School District, #624 Community Services Department (White Bear Lake, MN) = $10,000 for general operations of the White Bear Area Senior program, which provides services and activities for seniors in the White Bear Lake School District.
Sub-Saharan African Youth & Family Services in Minnesota (Minneapolis, MN) = $25,000 for general operations and matching funds for this organization which provides education services for African immigrants.
