Women's Foundation of Minnesota Issues Statewide RFP

I became acquainted with The Women's Foundation of Minnesota several years ago. It is not very well known in our area, but is doing excellent work on women's issues. I hope there may be some in the area that can take advantage of this RFP and utilize this organization.

The Women’s Foundation of Minnesota announced it has issued a statewide Request for Proposals for planning grants within its Social Change Fund. Comprehensive information about the grant, the application process, required forms, and link to apply online are available at the Foundation’s Web site. The grant application deadline is February 2, 2009.

The Foundation’s Social Change Fund (SCF) awards grants to state nonprofits seeking to remove barriers to equality for women and girls in their communities through “social change” – shifting attitudes and behaviors, or institutions and policies that limit equality. SCF grant applicants must choose to work within one of the Foundation’s five cornerstone areas of social change, including economic justice, safety and security, health and reproductive rights, human rights, and political power.

For more information about the grant or with questions, contact Charlotte Flowers, Women’s Foundation program officer, at 612-236-1807 or charlotte@wfmn.org.
