Hands Across the World Partnership

Bremer St. Cloud recently partnered with Hands Across the World to provide financial orientation to clients of the local agency that provides assistance to newly arrived immigrants and refugees. This orientation was provided for those who were considered advanced in the English language, but with less than five years living in the United States.

To ensure strong communication, Bremer provided the financial support to hire a Somali Language interpreter. “This was a very good financial orientation and very helpful to our people,” said Brianda Cedial, executive director of Hands Across the World. “We really appeciate all that Bremer does for our community.”

The main goal for this financial orientation was to provide information on the financial system in America and explain the services that Bremer can offer to clients. Bremer also talked about safe places to hold personal items of value such as a safe deposit box, how to establish credit without incurring interest, and how to manage financial accounts.
