Using Web 2.0 Tools

Yesterday our Nonprofit Resource Specialists team held its quarterly meeting in St. Paul. As part of that meeting, we had the fortunate opportunity to hear from Ann Walker Smalley, the director of Metronet - one of seven multicounty, multitype library systems in Minnesota that provide continuing education and other services to school, public, academic, and special libraries. Ann talked to the group about Web 2.0 tools.

She is the primary author and project manager for 23 Things On a Stick and More Things On a Stick, an online continuing education program for library staff that focus on Web 2.0 tools. She presented an excellent overview of all the tools available as well as a strategy for getting started.

Thank you Ann. We greatly appreciated your insights and are ready to engage in using Web 2.0 tools!
