Do nonprofits really have formal strategic planning similar to for-profit organizations? Is it one of those things we do from time to time because we should, or does the planning process produce a valuable implementation tool to be monitored on a continuous basis? I suspect some nonprofits are very serious about planning and others are not. And, I suspect those that are serious about planning have better performance. What do you think?
