The totals are in and Bremer Banks raised more than $158,000 in annual Taking Action Against Hunger Campaign. Donations went to Second Harvest Heartland, Feeding America and local foodshelves.
This total included a $96,000 donation from Bremer Bank itself. Donations were made online, at Bremer Bank locations and through employee and client events held throughout the month of June. The total donation amount topped last year’s final amount by more than 20%.

Bremer raised the funds through multiple activities in its communities in Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin bringing in both donations and food for local food shelves. Some of the activities included: silent auctions, community cook-outs and booths at local farmer’s markets. Bremer employees also donated their time and energy stocking local food shelves and preparing food packages in various communities.

“Ending hunger is an issue that is very important to our employees,” said Stan Dardis, chief executive officer of Bremer Financial Corporation. “We look forward to sponsoring this campaign each year, because it gives us an opportunity to live out our vision of building healthy communities through great partnerships with clients and business partners across our footprint. We would like to thank and congratulate everyone for their efforts in alleviating hunger in our markets.”
