Perham Area Food Shelf (Perham, MN)
During the month of December, a group of employees does a FUNdraiser for the Perham Area Food Shelf. Employees make up a gift basket and donate it for a silent auction just for the office workers. We have Christmas decorated auction sheets that are made on the computer and we end the auctions on time to use for Christmas gifts or in most cases it ends up as a present to ourselves. The baskets we come up with get really interesting ...they can be homemade or purchased items.
Along with the silent auctions during the month of December we have a sign-up sheet in the break room titled "The Soup is On." Every Friday in December, we volunteer to bring in a pot of homemade soup and another employee brings the bread. We each pay $3 for all-you-can-eat soup & bread. It’s a big deal not having to go out in the cold to get lunch!
We have done these office FUNdraisers for the last three years and have had a lot of FUN with it! Some of the last minute auction bidding between the employees gets pretty funny!!
