Crow Wing County Composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol (Brainerd, MN)
While working with Ducks Unlimited, we would stop the banquet, show a nice item such as a knife set and sell cards from a playing card deck at $5 each, announcing that we would draw a card from a second deck with the holder of the matching card winning the item. The cards went fast so we needed to have them distributed to sales personnel with change and ready to move. We included the Jokers, so we took in $270 very quickly (54 cards x $5 ea.) It was a popular raffle that we generally used twice throughout the night.
