There are many techniques and ways to build the best board and retain their involvement. Two best approaches are:
1) get mission results
2) have a socially fun Board
So perhaps two ways to accomplish building and retaining board involvement would be explained this way: Create and maintain a socially energizing environment where Board members connect with each other not only about the mission and goals of the organization that they serve, but also for other networking and social fulfillment interests. By developing this social platform, others in the community will hear that it's a fun Board to serve on. Combine this with staff and Board getting mission results and you have a winning way.
