SMIRF

I have recently learned about a the different types of capital that we can work with in a community or organization. It has been referred to as SMIRF. This is what SMIRF stands for:

S - Social - Who you know Capital
M - Moral - Issues and Values Capital
I - Intellectual Knowledge Capital
R - Reputation Capital
F - Financial Capital

As we continue to go through difficult financial times, I encourage you to look at your organization or community through the SMIRF lens to offer unique ideas and solutions to your challenges in your organization and community. Keep in mind that there are more resources than financial resources to help an organization and community thrive.
