Last Friday, I spent the day with fellow Nonprofit Resource Specialists from Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin as well as staff from The Otto Bremer Foundation. What is crystal clear to me following that meeting, is that in these economic times, needs are increasing and resources are decreasing. Now, more than ever, our communities need the work and services that nonprofits provide.
As client requests rise, I invite nonprofits to partner with their local NRS’s to discuss potential solutions to the number one priority of nonprofits----sustaining fundability. Without enough funding, you cannot do the important work you do, day in and day out, in contributing to building a healthy community and we need you! Variety in funding is the ideal goal----grants, private donations, matching funds, planned giving programs and capital campaigns.
I am inspired by the work of the nonprofits in my Bremer Charter area and look forward to partnering with and developing individualized funding packages that will help ease the financial stresses of nonprofit work and allow more time for the daily difference you make in people’s lives. We’re here to help you, call on us.
