For the past seven years as a Nonprofit Resource Specialist for Bremer Bank in the Alexandria charter, one of the services I have provided to nonprofits is to send via email information on trainings, funding opportunities and other resources/opportunities I think would be of interest and helpful to them.
Recently in one of those emails, I shared information on the Nerdery’s Overnight Website Challenge. This week, I received the following response from one of the nonprofits in my area - The Windmill Project who was one of the 18 organizations to be selected to participate in the website makeover!
"It was your message that had information about the challenge that prompted our application," said an executive at the Windmill Project. "It helped that I had just taken notes from a webinar about improving websites of nonprofits with Jay Wilkinson of Firespring (for ND Assn of Nonprofits). I probably learned about that from you too. So huge THANKS to you!!!"
Of course I can’t take all the credit for the organization's success, but it feels good to know that I was able in some small way to help them access a resource that will have positive impact on their organization!
Congratulations to The Windmill Project!! Can’t wait to see the results of your website makeover!!
