The digitized radiography suite ($275,000) that will be funded by the generous $60,000 grant from the Otto Bremer Foundation, the Burnett Medical Center Foundation, and the Burnett Medical Center funds will be a wonderful step in updating this portion of their medical services. This equipment will facilitate faster consulting by any medical staff, regardless of location as well as greatly enhancing abilities to read the results immediately and with varying degrees.
This equipment will eliminate the need for transporting and storing the large old format x-ray films and the new equipment will utilize less radiation in the process of doing the needed work. Currently facility modification plans are being finalized for State approval and plans to install the new equipment and begin utilization are scheduled for late this winter.
