Congratulations to the Graduates

Congratulations to the graduates of the Volunteer Impact Leadership Training which was held on October 2-3 at the Brainerd Bremer Bank. This training was sponsored by MAVA-Minnesota Association for Volunteer Administration funded through a grant by the Otto Bremer Foundation. Bremer and MAVA believe that volunteers are a critical resource for healthy communities and the capacity to engage and mobilize volunteers is essential to organizations today. Effective volunteer programs can support a nonprofit’s mission and expand its overall impact and outreach. The training consisted of eight modules: Capturing Volunteer Motivation and Conducting Effective Interviews, Planning for Retention, Recruiting Volunteers, Supervising Volunteers, Recognizing Volunteers, Managing Risk, Position Your Volunteer Program for Success and Singing Your Praises…Measuring Your Impact.

The trainers were: John Pribyl, Deb Anderson, Janene Riedeman and Mary Quirk.
