Forming Alliances

Because the resources of any single organization brings to solving a social problem is limited, alliances with other nonprofits, government, and for-profit businesses can produce some powerful synergies. Can you share an example of how an alliance has worked well? And, not so well? Please feel free to join the discussion by adding a comment to our blog.

An excellent example of a successful alliance that I know of has been the Otto Bremer Foundation’s matching challenge grant with the Minot Area Community Foundation. It doubled the money that provides for other nonprofits in the Minot area.
