We are pleased to announce a new member to the Bremer Bank Nonprofit Resource Specialist Team. Amy Wyant has joined us and will be serving the Brainerd area.
Wyant joins Bremer most recently from Northeast Minnesota Regional Collaboration, where she was a Statewide Health Improvement Program (SHIP) coordinator specializing in policy, systems and environmental changes. Prior to that, she spent 20 years as an international tour director and educator working as a German teacher for the University of Minnesota and other middle and high schools in the area. Wyant also has tremendous experience as a community organizer. She currently serves as the vice chair of the Fit City Aitkin Committee and recently served as the Riverwood Healthcare Center Foundation Gala Director, co-organizer for the International Walk to School Days, director of Moonlight XC and Snowshoe Series, coordinator for Human Rights Awareness Week, chair of American Red Cross Blood Drive and director of Rock-A-Thon for Darfur Refugees Fundraiser.
Wyant also has tremendous experience serving as a facilitator for several camps, committees and other organization meetings. She is a graduate of the Blandin Foundation Community Leadership Development Program. Wyant recently received the “Women Who Impact” award from the Minnesota Women of Today State Delegation. She has a bachelor’s degree in applied arts from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and a master’s degree in education from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minn.
“Amy has diverse and deep experience working in the Northern Minnesota area serving in a number of different roles,” said Mike Riley, president of Bremer Bank in Brainerd. “Her work in facilitating, teaching, organizing and leading groups and organizations will be very valuable to us in the nonprofit resource specialist role at Bremer.
